‘Muscles Big’ LP by Drivetrain Review by Evan Lee “Everybody loves that British pussy!” – Kevin Beling, Drivetrain/Muscles Big. If I could describe ‘Muscles Big’ in three words it would be – Pabst Blue Ribbon. This is an album all about rocking out with your cock out and partying the night away with friends. Hell, even invite the homeless dude down the street. Give him a beer and a burger too. Loud music, drinks, delicious artery-clogging food, and naked dancing demon chicks. Maybe, that one is just me. Nonetheless, this is everything that Drivetrain represents: An in your mama’s face, I dont give a rats ass who can hear us, hard rock album. All 8 tracks are filled with sick guitar playing, big bass slapping, intense drums and unapologetic yelling/cursing on the mic. This is a ridiculously fun album to listen to while driving in your 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am to pregaming on a Saturday night with the boys. You can tell Drivetrain is a band driven by passion and their love for old-school rock. While coming off original and not so much like a cover band. After listening to ‘Muscles Big’ I now magically have giant killer biceps like Dillion and Dutch from Predator. Hulk Hogan’s mustache. Ric Flair’s style and charisma. Smoking a Cuban cigar. Wearing aviator shades. Wearing the same cowboy hat that “Angel Eyes” wore in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I have Morgan Freeman’s voice as I wield the mighty sword Excalibur and I wear an American flag poncho. Riding my flying T-Rex as America, Fuck Yeah plays in the background by Team America: World Police. This is a 5 out of 5 Pabst Blue Ribbons for me. A must buy. Favorite tracks – Tribe (hilarious Russian intro) and Midnite Ride… Makes you feel Murican’ as hell.
